Foliobin is a curated gallery of designer portfolios from people whose work you've probably used today

How it started

It started as a private Are.na list of portfolios I admired. Friends asked for the link. Foliobin is what happened when I stopped sending it one at a time

What Foliobin looked like before it was Foliobin
What I look for
The gallery features designers from OpenAI, T-Bank, Anthropic, Yandex, Perplexity and a lot of names you don't know yet. I look for portfolios that respect the work itself: clear hierarchy, intentional typography, real case studies. No mood boards pretending to be projects
How I review submissions

Every submission goes through me. About one in four makes it in. Usually because of the work, sometimes because the slot count is tight. If yours doesn't make it this time, send it again, especially after you ship something new

The easiest way to understand the bar is simply to look at it for yourself. Here are five portfolios I keep coming back to, each strong for a different reason

The Tuesday digest

Five portfolios. Every Tuesday. In your inbox if you subscribe. Same time, same number, no filler. The kind of email worth opening before coffee gets cold
